Specialized Waste Handling Services

Heavy materials, e-waste, and items requiring special disposal. Licensed handling with proper documentation.

When Standard Dumpsters Won’t Work

Some materials can’t go in a regular roll-off dumpster. Heavy debris like concrete and dirt requires reinforced containers and different weight pricing. Electronic waste has its own disposal regulations. Certain materials need special handling to protect workers, the environment, or ensure regulatory compliance.

Apex Dumpsters provides specialized waste handling for these situations. We have the equipment, permits, and experience to manage materials that other haulers turn away.

Heavy Material Disposal

Standard dumpsters have weight limits because trucks have weight limits. When you’re disposing of heavy materials, you need containers designed for the load and pricing that makes sense for the density.

Concrete & Masonry

  • Broken concrete and slabs
  • Brick and block
  • Stone and pavers
  • Foundation demolition
  • Retaining wall removal

Dirt & Soil

  • Excavation spoils
  • Grading and leveling dirt
  • Fill dirt removal
  • Landscaping soil
  • Mixed dirt and debris

Heavy debris containers are smaller (10-15 yards typically) but rated for higher weights. Pricing is based on tonnage rather than container size. Call for a custom quote on your heavy material project.

Electronic Waste (E-Waste)

California law prohibits e-waste disposal in regular trash. We provide compliant e-waste collection and recycling for:

  • Computers and laptops
  • Monitors and TVs
  • Printers and copiers
  • Servers and networking equipment
  • Cell phones and tablets
  • Audio/video equipment
  • Small appliances
  • Cables and accessories

We work with certified e-waste recyclers who properly dismantle equipment, recover valuable materials, and ensure data storage devices are destroyed. Certificates of destruction available for business clients.

Other Specialty Materials

Roofing Materials

Asphalt shingles are heavy and can be recycled. We offer roofing-specific containers with appropriate weight allowances for tear-off projects.

Mattresses & Furniture

California requires mattress recycling through the Bye Bye Mattress program. We ensure compliant disposal and can handle bulk furniture removal.

Appliances

Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units contain refrigerants requiring certified removal. We handle the EPA-compliant disposal process.

Tires

Tires can’t go in regular dumpsters. We collect and transport to licensed tire recyclers. Pricing is per tire.

What We Don’t Handle

We’re not a hazardous waste hauler. The following require licensed hazmat disposal:

  • Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
  • Paints, solvents, and chemicals
  • Medical and biohazard waste
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Fuel and oil (beyond incidental amounts)

We can recommend licensed hazmat disposal companies for these materials.
